Music Director

The Music Director for Holy Trinity Parish is a person of faith who has a thorough understanding of the Roman Catholic liturgy.  Responsible for the effective planning, coordination and execution of music within all the liturgical celebrations of the parish, including four weekend masses from 4:00 p.m. on Saturday through and including the 11:00 a.m. mass on Sunday and all Holy Days of Obligation, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, Thanksgiving, All Soul’s Day, monthly St. Peregrine service and weekly school masses.

Collaborates with the Pastor, under his supervision, and with other members of the parish staff, integrating his or her own area of responsibility with the overall parish mission.  Selects and plans music in cooperation with the Pastor, Principal and other liturgy teams/committee for use in parish and school liturgies and all parish sacramental and social celebrations while providing them with consultation and needed assistance.  Selects and develops participation aids for the congregation, selects and maintains musical instruments, coordinates services and schedules of parish musicians, assures copyright permission, etc.   Prepares and manages the budget for the parish music program in collaboration with the Pastor. Assist Pastor with special projects, as they develop.


  • Five or more years of experience in music ministry
  • Demonstrates competency as a vocalist, keyboardist (including organ and piano) and choral conductor
  • Lead song when needed
  • Direct an adult choir and children's choir on a regular basis (once current COVID-19 limitations are lifted)
  • The candidate must be knowledgeable of church music literature in all forms and styles for the congregation, choirs (adult, teen and children), vocalists and instrumentalists
  • Proficient in liturgical principles.  Has a thorough understanding of the musical, liturgical and pastoral judgements which must be made in selecting music for liturgy
  • Available for funerals and weddings
  • Able to maintain office hours and attend staff meetings during the day
  • The Music Director must have proficient computer skills and competency in at least one publications program

This ministry demands professional training in music and liturgy.  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required, though a more professional qualification - such as the equivalent of a Master's Degree in music and liturgy - is preferred.  All candidates must pass a criminal background check and become VIRTUS certified.

Temporary Parish Office & Accounting Assistant

Holy Trinity Parish is looking for a Parish Office Assistant for 3-4 months with the following responsibilities:

  • Help visitors navigate the parish campus
  • Answer phone calls and direct, as appropriate
  • Assist in weekly mailings and other communications
  • Assist Business Manager with accounting processes
  • Special projects, as directed by Pastor

Minimum skills required:

  • Previous experience in an administrative position required
  • Experience in a parish environments is a plus
  • Computer skills - including Word, Excel and accounting software (such as Parish Soft)
  • Good communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Data entry experience
  • Knowledge of Catholic Mass and traditions

Hours:  Monday - Friday, 8:45 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

The length of the assignment may vary based on the return of the current assistant who will be taking a maternity leave.  Position is available beginning in early October
