Mandatory Service Policy

In Catholic Schools, we depend upon the generous donation of goods and services in order to keep expenses down and tuition reasonable. It is important that each family give of its time and talents for the good of the parish, school, and ultimately for the improvement of facilities and services for the children.

The Mandatory Service Policy & Contract (see below) outlines the requirement that each family offer a minimum of twenty (20) hours of service over the course of the school year, as well as the many service opportunities available, all of the attendant requirements for training prior to serving, and the consequences for not completing the requisite service hours.

Volunteer Procedure

• Each family must read and sign the Mandatory Service Policy & Contract prior to the beginning of the school year.
   
• All volunteers must complete and submit the Volunteer Application & Release Form.
  • Read the Policy Regarding Sexual Abuse of Minors and Standards of Behavior documents to sign the acknowledgment form which is part of the Volunteer Application & Release Form.
  • Background and reference checks are required for volunteer positions within Holy Trinity. This authorization is included as part of the Volunteer Application & Release Form.
     
• To comply with the Diocese of Joliet safe environment program all volunteers whose duties include contact with minors must complete safe environment training through the Virtus - Protecting God’s Children program. To register and sign up for an upcoming training class, visit Virtus Online. After taking the class, volunteers must submit their completion certificate to the School Office.
