Guadalupe Pilgrimage.jpg2022-2023 | Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe,
Des Plaines

For the sixth Holy Trinity School pilgrimage, our school (grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade) visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines. Students attended Mass in the chapel, prayed the rosary and learned about the miracle of St. Juan Diego and the appearance of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Holy Trinity School visited St. Hyacinth Basilica, one of the three major basilicas in Chicago, in May 2022. St. Hyancinth - a traditionally Polish and Resurrectionist parish - is (Pastor) Father Rafal Wasilewski’s home parish from his childhood growing up in the city. Father Rafal celebrated Mass for the students and faculty as well as gave tours of all the beautiful artwork and adornments of the great church.

After a year hiatus, Holy Trinity School made their annual Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of St. Therese of Lisieux in Darien, IL. Students learned about the life of the great saint and Doctor of the Church, touring the museum full of personal affects and the 
Shrine where they were able to attend Mass. 

 

2018-2019 | National Shrine of St. Maximilian
Kolbe at Marytown

For the fourth annual Pilgrimage at Holy Trinity School, 135 students (grades K-8) visited the National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe at Marytown in Libertyville, IL. 22 faculty members and parents led the children as they learned about the martyr's life and sacrifice from the Franciscan friars.
 

2017-2018 | National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians at Holy Hill

All students in grades K-8 traveled to Hubertus, Wisconsin for Mass and prayer at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians.


2016-2017 | Mercy Pilgrimage

During the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, all students in grades K-8 went to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, entering through the Holy Doors of Mercy, praying the Holy Mass together, and then traveling to the Shrine of Christ’s Passion in St. John, Indiana.



2015-2016 | Pope Francis in Philadelphia

Holy Trinity's inaugural pilgrimage was to the City of Brotherly Love with 25 seventh and eighth grade students, 12 school parents, and 6 faculty members to see Pope Francis during his U.S. visit for the World Meeting of Families.
